24. Downhill after Hackett
Maher seemed off his game beginning with Hackett who seemed to be trying to out "sho-biz" Maher. It was downhill from there. Chris Rock was the only hope of some semblance of sanity and maybe a little humor and he was just stuck on the price of gas. Maher seemed lame in dealing with the other two, who jabbered on with the usual pointless rhetoric. I was so hoping to see him shaft Schaffly with a brilliant expose of her hatefulness and inanity but there was nothing brilliant about it. Yes, he pointedly asked if her son was gay but it seemed like a cheap shot and something the other side might do for lack of something better to "get her" on. We don't care about whether her son is outed, or if he's gay. What about her position on gay rights, free choice, women in the military, separation of church and state? All the crap that she's been spouting for years? Oh yes, and her wig. I remember it from the 60's. It is the same one.
