2. People who say that have never been there
I spent 6 years in the Army including Desert Storm. Many of the people who say this kind of stuff our Chickenhawks anyway. Unless you are REMF, you usually quite busy when deployed and don't have time to worry that much about what is going on stateside. You fight for your buddies - your squad, your platoon, your company. What's going on 6000 miles away isn't that big of a deal. Besides, the great bulk of these guys are 18 to 24 year olds - not the biggest bunch of news watchers anyway.

And there is a bit of a non sequitar in their logic - it is OK to FIGHT AND DIE for FREEDOM - as long as those back home DON'T EXPRESS THEIR FREEDOM. :eyes:
