Come On, It's New Orleans

The city with more life in it than any other American City. The city made up of a wonderful melting pot of people and traditions. Americans may be sad, they may be scared, and yes they may be hurting but watch this city come back as the Jewel of the South once again. Forget the politics, forget the divisions, these people are tough, after all they gave us cajun cooking and drinks bigger than your head called Hurricanes.

We may be in shock right now but come February this city will have parades even if the floats have to really float. College coeds will grovel in the streets for plastic beads, and yes breasts will be bared. This city will bounce back. In the days and weeks to come you will see more and more citizens do what the government wasn't prepared to do, rebuild. Your pain and suffering for these people will soon be replaced with pride at their resilience and willingness to move forward.

I myself cannot comprehend a February without the annual Bare'ing of the Breast, I just cannot do it.

Live on New Orleans,
Michael Harris
