What the world needs now - 1971

On another thread today, a poster mentioned that they were listening to Abraham, Martin, and John. It brought up a memory of a Tom Clay song from 1971 called "What the world needs now" which is a compilation of the song "What the world needs now" and "Abraham, Martin, and John" overlaid with recordings of the assassination and aftermath of the assassination of JFK, MLK, and RFK.

It is very touching, and to this day gives me chills to listen to it.

I did a bit of research trying to find a website that had the recording, and I was astounded to find web sites devoted to the song, along with testimonials about it very similar to my own thoughts.

It appears that the recording has, or will be re-released.

Any other DUers remember this song, and if so, did it shape you in your younger years?
