I wish people were as adamant about keeping our jobs from going overseas, improving our standards of public education and health care as they are about protecting the sanctity of what has become a undeniably corrupted holiday.

If an individual were a true Christian, the birth, life, and resurrection of Christ would be something that is importantly not only on one day of the year but every day, every hour, every minute, and every single second of the day. If a man is “savior” of the human race, you’d think that people would follow his message very closely to make themselves worthy in his presence. You’d think that they’d embrace peace and justice for all, health care for all, feeding and clothing the door, etc. In other words, if Jesus really is the son of God then they’d break their backs to obey every thing he says instead of picking and choosing what to believe and what not to.

I think if people were really Christians, they wouldn’t support obviously questionable morals in government (wars for profit, oil, torture, bears having sex with little girls), continual environmental sabotage, erosion of tolerance, etc.

I just wish people were as adamant about things that are important in the world instead of whether or not a seasonally employed, underpaid greeter at JCPenney says, “Seasons greetings,” or “Merry Christmas.”

Sorry for the rant. I am simply frustrated about the willingness of the American people to focus their attention on things that aren't important.
