"We wish you a happy Honda-days" controversy on local radio
Advertisements [?]
On the way to work this morning, the local radio people were talking about a Honda commercial that featured carolers singing, "We wish you a Happy Holiday" instead of "We wish you a Merry Christmas" and of course they were trying to incorporate it in their "war on Christmas" nonsense. I was inclined to agree actually because that's just going out of your way to be stupid! Then a caller called in a said they were actually saying "Honda-days" and not "Holidays", and so then it made perfect sense to me. The local radio guys wouldn't back down however, and declared it was still just as bad and Honda is trying to take away Christmas. If they would stop and think instead of just shouting their talking points, they would realize that "Happy Honda-mas" makes no f*cking sense and "Honda-Days" is, in fact, the only way to do that commercial. Thank you for indulging my insane rant :)
