16. Why? Lose A Cushy Gig?
One of the few laws that still applies is broadcasters can't employ office seekers without offering equal time to the opponent. In Rushbo's case that would mean giving up his cushy multi-million dollar with Cheap Channel that all but enables him to live is his own little world. Why would anyone want to leave. Especially when there's a Prosecutor sniffing at your door.

Hannity maybe could move to Utah or Indiana...there he'd have a future...or at least a semi-lucrative auto dealership. He'd stand little chance in any statewide or even regional New York election. And again...why? Sean gets to play big TV star that enables him to make millions not only on his TV and radio deals but all the appearances and other promotional goodies. If you notice, each year he "releases" (escapes is a better word) a new "book" that means a tour...that not only means extra bucks in book sales, but money from affiliates who "host" his parties. Why give up being the big fish in the small beltway?

Also, radio-types and TV types have had poor results in trying to cash in their airwave fame for a political office. Look at Pat Buchanan as a good example.
