1. Tell politicians to get their priorities straight!
Join with thousands of Americans who are telling the President and Congress to pass a budget that puts America's families as the first priority.

* Stop giving tax breaks to the wealthy.
* Oppose cuts to vital public services like Medicaid, food stamps, student loans, and housing that many families need - especially those in the Gulf Coast.
* Rebuild our crumbling schools, hospitals, and highways and increase investment in public services.
* Support affordable health care for all.

Hurricane Katrina was a tragic reminder that millions of America's families live in poverty and our country's infrastructure is in serious disrepair -- in part because of the Bush administration's misplaced priorities.

Yet, unbelievably, Congress is planning to make deep cuts to vital programs such as Medicaid, Food Stamps, education and housing -- and give $70 billion in tax breaks to the wealthy.

They need to hear from every one of us that these big tax breaks and slashing of budgets for vital public services are the wrong priorities.

Call your senators @ 1-800-426-8073.
