That's what I try to convey to * supporters until I'm blue in the face. Anyone who tells you "I'll protect you. Just don't argue with me and give me some control over you" is a BAD person. And you have more to fear from THEM than whatever it is they claim they'll protect you from, which they won't. Dictators have no interest in anything but unchecked power and getting everything for themselves. The parallels between Bush and Saddam are striking. Saddam also surrounded himself by yes-men and made sure that there were no dissidents at any of his appearances. Why don't people see it?
