7. Well, I think these are a case by case basis

This woman has been vegetative for over 10 years. She has not spoken a word, nor shown any ability at rational movement. She is capable of blinking and some movement, but dozens of doctors have found those movements to be totally involuntay.

So, in this circumstance, I would say what they were doing was correct.
