TWO 1ST AD SOLDIERS DIE IN SEPARATE NON-COMBAT INCIDENTS

BAGHDAD, Iraq – Two 1st Armored Division soldiers died in separate non-combat incidents Oct. 22.

One soldier was found in need of medical attention in the barracks at approximately 3:50 p.m. Medical personnel responded immediately but the soldier was pronounced dead at the scene.

Another soldier collapsed in an off-duty area at approximately 9 p.m. The soldier was evacuated to the 28th Combat Support Hospital and was pronounced dead.

The soldiers’ names are being withheld pending next-of-kin notification.

The incidents are under investigation.
