16. Explanation for starting the post after reading responses
I wasn't starting this thread to be flippant or humorous. I realized on some threads people were referring to it as TORTUREGATE and frankly I think to do that minimizes this since it is so much bigger than some petty bullshit political scandal.

What I wanted was a name so that the short-attention span theater can easily call back up the images and shame of this episode with a word..and not a word like "gate" that makes this seem or blend into everything else.


So to those that might have thought I meant this as a wisecrack..I really didn't and it wasn't my intent to minimize.

People use words to generate images. I feel there should be a few short words to immediately recall these images and what they SAY about US (the collective US)without MINIMIZING it to "just another scandal."

When one say AUSCHWITZ..images occur with that name that do not occur with something such as PRISONGATE.
