just defending the feelings of the disabled???
I ask, because I have a few friends with disabilities; one's blind, two are in wheelchairs, and another lost a leg, to name just a few.
TO A PERSON, they all insist on being treated like regular people. They insist on our ignoring their 'challenges', and get EXTREMELY pissed when we look at them in any way resembling pity.
THEY usually start with the jokes. Both about us, and about themselves. If we start one, and try to self-censor it, THEY insist on us finishing it so they can come back with an even better one.
To them I ask: "Did ya hear the one about the three-legged pig?"
To those who are disabled, and have not yet been able to attain that level of self-confidence, I apologize.
To the perfectly healthy, yet freakishly politically correct...
Get over yourself... please!
