22. The only theory about this that ever made any sense to me was
that back in the 50s, they used monkey livers as the growth medium for the polio vaccines they were developing and testing in Africa. In the US they used sheep livers as the growth medium.
When they vaccinated the folks in Africa, the disease spread from monkeys to humans.
DISCLAIMER: I am not saying this is what happened. It just seems like a relatively benign way for it to have happened IF INDEED there was a human hand in the introduction of AIDS to humans.
No evil conspiracies, just a sad mistake that nobody could've foreseen.
