He still has far too much support, and too many people are just refusing to see him for who and what he really is. I wouldn't put it past him to concoct an "October surprise", though, and I wouldn't at all be surprised to see them cancelling or postponing the election for "national security" reasons. They aren't going to give up power unless they're forced to, they have no respect at all for the will of the people; indeed, they're completely disdainful and contemptuous of it.

I wonder how many people realize that Shrub actually said, in late December of 2000, that "things would be so much easier if this were a dictatorship, with me as the dictator!" Can you imagine the uproar if a Dem had said something like that?
