I was raised Southern Baptist and what I took away from the experience was that God or the Universe or our spirituality is beyond the comprehension of human beings. I haven't kept much of the beliefs of the Southern Baptists, but I have always maintained that whatever happens to us after we die, is beyond our comprehension. We may become different beings in different worlds (that is one possibility), but those are worlds we could not even imagine. Those worlds can't be fathomed by us in this world. So while those worlds may be beyond my understanding, somehow, I find that conforting.
