I grew up in Australia and have also lived in Britain where the date is always written with the day first. Todays date would therefore be 12/6/04.
I come to live here and all of a sudden I have to place the month first. This has caused me some problems as on my Aussie passport the date is written day/month/year but on my Green Card it is written month/day/year.
And to confuse things even more, when I first applied for a drivers license here I wrote my birthdate as day/month/year. So anyone looking at it would think I was born in May and not October.
I'd be interested to know how it's done in Canada.
