...that car toys should be considered gender neutral. Two or three Christmases ago I bought a shitload of cheap toys and made neat gift bags for the many children in my wife's family. There were yo-yos, crayons, animal figures, little electronic things that made noise -- and a 5-inch die-cast New Beetle for each one. The girls LOVED the Beetles more than any other toy in the bag.

Best money/child-happiness ratio, EVER.
