The people who get pissed off because you don't take your cart back to the front of the store are far outnumbered by those who get really pissed off if you do, because they need your parking space RIGHT NOW!!!!

Seriously, I've had people yell at me: "Don't take that damn cart back, get the hell out of that parking space and I'll take the damn cart". (OK, most are more polite than that, but that's the upshot of the sentiment.)

My grocery doesn't have very many parking spaces you see, and it's in downtown Philly, so there's nowhere else to park either.
