42. I don't think there is a "best"...
Much depends on the style of the music itself.
I love the voices of so many of the lead singers
of groups from the 60's, who never made singles.

Many of the Motown performers...
David Ruffin (Temptations)
Levi Stubbs (Four Tops)
Gladys Knight

Andrea Bocelli
Josh Groben

Eva Cassidy had a beautiful voice. If you ever get
a chance to hear her music, you won't be sorry.
Sadly, she passed away before she was noticed.
