Sex changes and bathrooms. [View All]

I used to work at a place where one of the male employees had a sex change operation and there was a huge battle as to where he/she should go to the bathroom.

The women, who knew him as a man, didn't want him in "their" restroom and he couldn't go into the men's room anymore as he was dressed in women's clothes, wore makeup, etc.

Managing to avoid a decision, the employer opted to make a separate bathroom in the basement for him but it was very far from his cubicle like 15 floors away.

I think he should have been allowed to go to the women's restroom. There were plenty enough strange women in there to begin with so one more wouldn't make much difference.
