...but I've heard that Kevin Spacey did a bad job singing (and even worse dancing) in the new Bobby Darin biopic.

It's not that he's a terrible singer, it's just that he's mediocre when the story calls for him to be so very good that audiences of bobby soxers are supposed to go wild when he's done. I've read it would have been better if he had lip-synched the actual Darin, but he apparently has some obsession with Darin and thought he could pull off an impression of him. Of course, Spacey is about 15 years too old to play Darin in the first place, but when the subject of this thread (actors who thought they could sing something and ended up biting off more than they could chew) came up, what I've heard about this current movie immediately came to mind.

I'm sure there are Spacey fans who will disagree, and remember, I admitted I've only seen small bits of the movie and only heard about the rest, so what do I know?
