75. May I say thank you to the OP for bringing this up.

And thanks to the folks who agree that it's a hateful and hurtful word, and that unrepentant users of it are intellectually lazy and morally bankrupt.

It's long been a pet peeve of mine when supposedly progressive people, many of whom belong to traditionally oppressed groups, believe that asking people to refrain from using the word "retard" is just one-PC-over-the-line for them, and that, as God is their witness, they'll say "retard" if they damn well feel like it. To you, may I extend a hearty Fuck You.
