56. After 2 long, failed marriages, I'm pretty picky.
It's a good thing I'm fine on my own:

First trait, non-negotiable: honest and trustworthy

Other important traits:

*Intelligent, thinking, open-minded

*An environmental and social conscience

*Independent and good self-esteem; doesn't need a mommy, a maid, a cook, or an ego-booster

*strong, kind, and gentle; not aggressive; empathetic; peace loving

*not a "city" person; prefers quiet and wide-open spaces to crowds and noise and city entertainment

*able to give an introverted partner necessary space

*loyal, faithful, reliable

*values all living things/ecosystems

*non-aggressive experience with horses, or at least open to learning

*likes dogs, cats, etc.; not allergic to them

*doesn't need to establish himself as the "master" of people or pets

*will do the driving when we go places together

*can be patient and caring with my family, flawed as they are

I'm sure I could go on, but that's a good start.
