41. You are not imagining things, I am quite real
Insofar as anything is real. The Velveteen Rabbit became real because it was loved, so in that sense, I am not sure how real I am. I think in many senses that the people we meet on these discussion boards are more real, or that you get to know them better through their thoughts and their words, than you do of many people that you see alot of and merely exchange hellos, or comments about the weather, or the "how are you? - Ok" exchange.
I have been reading the "top ten conservative idiots" since I discovered "hated.com" probably from a mention on a Yahoo discussion board. I have been reading articles and posts on the discussion board for quite some time, and trying to contribute (although I seem to be either ignored or annoying or misunderstood).
When I first learned of the death of one of us, I scrambled around trying to find out if I had met him. Since I was/am a Deaniac, I am sure that I probably read one of his posts on a Dean thread, because I read alot of them. I have never bothered with LBN, because I do not mind getting my news a few days late. I will hear about the important stories because they will be talked about.
I feel a loss from the fact that I cannot remember him, and also because I will never get to, except for reading archived articles. Also I have to admit to a little envy for the fact that he was able to accomplish so much and to make so many good friends although he did not live as long as I have. I hope that he knew how much he meant to his friends and this community while he was still alive. Probably he did since I see Plaidder getting many kudos in this thread. Let me add my verbal applause to that, and posthumously to Khephra. The bell tolls for me too.
