I know how it feels, PartyPooper. I was a really good kid, too. My father had no right to treat me like that, even when I did do something wrong.

When my father died, the only emotion I could summon for a long time was great relief. Then I felt guilty for feeling relief.

My whole family is pretty fucked-up and every time I go to counseling, my psychologist comments on how much better I seem since I told them all to shove it. It's a damn shame, but toxicity is impossible to live with. :(
