Reply #7: How old are you? Is there a generation gap with this film? [View All]

The reason I ask is that I think there might be a generation gap with this movie. I'm (cough) middle-aged, and I thought the movie was hilarious, a very good movie. I suspect that there are many things in this movie that are not understandable, or do not resonate, with younger viewers. Much of the humor is derived from the pains and ills of very long-terms relationships, and from unrealized dreams in terms of careers, and making choices from what is really available to us. It is about growing up and all the tough decsions involved, with one character refusing to do so.

I also lived in California many years, around the show-biz community, and I know people likes these. And, I also have been learning a lot about wine over the past few years.
