7. Kill Bill is violent..
Gory, nasty, and downright sick in some spots. Its also a movie that relishes itself in the fun its having. Basically, what Tarantino has done is blended some of his favorite old-school film types (Spaghetti Western, DePalma films, 70's Hong Kong action, etc, etc.) and morphed those styles into a film he wanted to make

The movie is a strict revenge movie - nothing else. I thought the story was a good one. Some of the artistic creativity of the scenes amazed me. The gore was necessary to deliver the message. Much like the movie 'Payback' - you didn't believe Lucy Liu was a total Sadist bitch unless she literally BEAT THE HELL out of her sub. That's just how it works

I can't wait for Kill Bill vol. 2, myself. This one left quite the cliffhanger.
