For example, on a hot summer Sunday we were packing up the car to spend the day at the Clearwater environmetal festival on the banks of the Hudson River. She suddenly materialized, shrieking, "Howe dare you go swimming! You need to stay home and mow your lawn!"

Her lawn is pristine, as she has weekly landscapers who she always directed to park their long truck directly in front of my driveway. When they switched their mowing time to 8:30 AM, the time I needed to drive my kids to school, I asked one of the men to kindly move the truck. My neighbor popped out, yelling, "Don't you tell him what to do!" "He is blocking MY driveway!" "It's not your driveway! It borders on my house!" I must admit I lost it and started screaming that next time it happened I would call the police. I guess that got to her, because from then on the truck was parked across the street.
