10. I second that!
That's a great, under-rated album. Certainly the best of his post-Scary Monsters period, maybe the best, period.

An aside: I went to see him in, I think, '96, at a small venue in Vancouver. He was in town shooting the movie "Exhuming Mr. Rice", and he decided to put on a show. He had his touring band flown-in, and they played this out-door venue pretty-much spontaneously. There was only room for about 1,500 people, so it was like seeing him in a large club. it was hurriedly sponsored by the local "Classic Rock" station.

Anyway, he started the set off with some classic hits (Jean Jeannie and Suffragette City), and the older, "Classic Rock" fans were getting into it. Then he totally switched sounds, and did everything from EarThliNg (which had just been released), and the rest of his set's numbers (Fashion, John I'm Only Dancing, etc), in an EarThliNg style, and lots of people left :wtf: ...I guess they wanted Bowie circa 1976, not the ever-reinventing himself Bowie. But he didn't seem to care... he just played for over two hours, interacted/danced with audience members, kicked giant inflated eyeballs around, and had a great time. It was one of the best "positive energy" shows I've ever seen.

That probably has lots to do with why I like EarThliNg so much.
