...where x is ten years older than your own age. :)

Historically, though, no one likes to have to face his own mortality, and in an age of instant electronic communication, we are probably censoring those constant reminders that are other people's wrinkles. In a capitalist society, one of the few rights we actually try to hold onto is that of not having to look at anything less than pretty. In a technological culture, older citizens are no longer the sole repositories of wisdom, and thereby lose some of their most useful function.

The elderly are guaranteed short shrift in this civilization.
