why pay $40 an hour for a temp when you can hire somebody for $17 an hour plus benefits? It seems to me, that company would save at least $10 an hour if they bypassed the temp agency. Do benefits cost more than $5 an hour? FICA taxes are an extra 7.65% or $1.3 an hour for a $17 an hour person. 2 weeks paid vacation costs .65 an hour, and so does 2 weeks paid sick leave and two weeks of paid holidays. Insurance is $1 an hour. Total cost is $4.25 an hour and yet they choose to pay $23? That is just bizarre.
