have dined together, gone to a baseball game together... These two Christians are truly followers of Christ. When Kathy was very, very sick a few years ago, Bruce, a cab driver in Annapolis (more than an hour from Waldorf), drove Kathy once a week for four weeks to a doctor yet another hour away from Waldorf in a different direction. And gave her a small discount.

Then again, maybe I should. Maybe I should just go to lunch with her and tell her, Look, D., I am a borderline atheist. I do not believe in your God. I enjoy talking with you and when say I will pray for you, I lie -- i'm sorry, please forgive me -- but I ALWAYS ask Kathy, who is a believer, to pray for you. Ect., etc.

I wonder what she'd say.
