both times after or when I was using my (gas) oven. I have the plug-in type that goes directly into the outlet (no batteries).

I opened my doors and windows immediately... but got scared. I know CO has no odor; there has been a kind of bad smell when my oven heats up, recently. I had used the broiler a few weeks ago and I think some grease splattered up (?) or maybe something (plastic ?) from a pot or pan melted inside. I don't know.

Any idea where CO might be coming from? The ones upstairs (bedrooms) have not, just the downstairs one.
