1. To keep your gravy boat from dripping on your tablecloth every time someone pours from it, rub a dab of butter over and around the spout. It creates a barrier that will make the gravy go back into the vessel..instead of dripping on your linens.

2. Use Blocks of ice in your punch bowl (or blocks of frozen juice), instead of cubes. It will melt much slower and not water it down as much.

3.If you are baking pies, use mini cookie cutters to cut the vents in holiday designs.

4. When cutting soft or semi soft cheese use dental floss or string for nice even slices, instead of a knife.

5. Want some special decorations for your kitchen? Trim a tabletop tree with metal cookie cutters!

6. If you put up a Christmas tree every year, invest in a timer switch so you don't have to keep crawling under the tree.

7. Wrap your buffet or dining table with holiday themed wrapping paper. It's simple, and inexpensive..and best of all the end of the meal you just throw the mess away!

8. For a super easy decoration dip pinecones halfway into copper paint, let dry and then scatter across the table or buffet.

9. Create a Christmas keepsake album..keep snippets of wrapping paper, ribbon, holiday cards or invitations to place with photos. If you have older friends or relatives visiting ask them to write a quick story describing what their favorite memory was as a child (or tape record it and transcribe it yourself).

10. For a super simple gift, decoupage a clay pot with family photos and fill with candy, cookies, or a purchased poinsettia.

11. FASTEST FUDGE EVER: melt one package of baking chips (any flavor) stir in one can frosting (any flavor). Add in nuts or candies if desired and spread in a greased sqare pan. That's it. It tastes exactly like that old-fashioned fudge grandma made.
