Every soccer mom from here to Timbuktu puts Monet in their house because it goes with the couch. The Impressionists have practically become a parody of the groundbreaking art they once were.

I'm much more fond of Chagall for his beautiful use of mood and excitement, or Kandinsky for his amazing use of color. If you got a white table and want to lighten up the room, either of these guys could do amazing things to brighten your kitchen and make a splash at the same time. Does it have to be figurative art, or are you willing to experiment a bit?
