13. I was bored today so I went hiking - here are some pics:
These photos were taken in the Francis Beidler Forest, a preserve of old-growth forest which belongs to the Audubon Society and the Nature Conservancy. The forest is located in Berkeley County, SC, about thirty miles west of Charleston. There is even one cypress tree which is dated to be about 1000 years old, but my photos did not capture the essence of being next to this massive tree. However, here are some which turned out well.

The trail ends at this spring-fed lake:


The next two photos do not really convey the height of the trees, but the canopy is about 200 feet high:
