during late June. It rained in Gatlinburg EVERY afternoon we were there. We learned to time our activities around the afternoon storms.

Then we got home. And we've been stuck inside ever since.

My yard? We don't have a yard, so to speak, because we're in a forrest--but the weeds! Oh, it's a nightmare. Since Katrina took down the big hickories aroumd the cabin and sunlight's been able to get in, we've had an onslaught of "pig weed" around the cabin. I'm going to have to rent one of those walk-behind bushhogs to clear the area around the cabin...I don't really have a choice...the weeds are four feet high and an excellent place for water moccasins to hide when they come out of the creek. :grr:
