a certain in-law of mine does it, just today 'this in-law' told us her salary and managed to work a lot of talk about money into an hour visit. Sometimes at their dinners money's the subject, a couple weeks ago dinner was all about different places to go gambling, comparing/contrasting. I'm too nice to sigh and roll my eyes, I just shut up and ate. When they said how much they'd wasted doing it I wish I'd had the nerve to mention how many people are starving, to death :eyes:

MY Mom grew up with nothing, she lived in the sticks and farmed as soon as she could walk.. and now she's doing real well and would still never discuss money at a dinner table or with more than one person at once. It's a dirty subject to me, unless it's a conversation with a purpose, like with your SO or a bank or business or whatever.
