37. Saturday, August 18, 2007

The day my son suffered a C7 fracture body surfing. He's going to be fine, but as far as bad days that one is #1. Jumping on a plane in tulsa, making connection in Houston, getting into raleigh at midnight, Duke Medical Center ER at 12:30 not know what I was to find. The 6 hours of travel was pure pain.

So I walk in the ER trauma room, he sees me and says "Wanna go to the beach?" I cracked up.

From the worst to relief, knowing he would be able to walk again, that he did not drown and die.
