Of course, to do that they have to knock everything down, tear up the facades before they start classying it all back up. The place is a danger zone! I can't go to work without my hard hat. There are orange pylons, bulldozers, cement mixers, etcetera. Ah, but once it's all done and the place is as lofty as it needs to be, it'll be a HAVEN for aristocrats. We'll greet royalty with open arms.

Now I'm working in a dress shop (ME! Voted most likely to never give a rat's ass about clothes!). Our clothes drive the ladies wild. And the shoes. You should see their, um, enthusiasm. I hear the word "cute" no less than 50 times a day, and so have developed an arsenal of other adjectives, like "flattering" and "classic".

So anyway, I like my job. The walking is great exercise & the women I work with have the best attitudes. But I had to bite my tongue at a meeting this morning. Seems like the sales are down. My thinking's that it's because the strip mall looks like someone's wrecking ball came swiftly and cheerfully through it.

I'd love to see how dramatic the change is.;)
