9. I'd still contact
the consumer affairs division of the state attorney generals office. They may have some suggestions. They may have a history of problems with one of the parties involved.

I'd also contact the manufacturer, the retailer and the repair shop by certified mail. Give them an ultimatum. Ask for more than you want or expect. Suggest that you have lost all confidence in the manufacturer, the service provider, the retailer - and in their ability to repair this particular set and return it to you in working order. Suggest that you would be delighted to drop the matter if they would simply exchange the set for another comparable model. At this point that suggestion is not unreasonable IMHO. Worst thing that happens is you are left where you are. Best case you have laid the groundwork for a case claiming damages. Or somebody decides to give you a better TV to make you happy. If you don't get a response to your letters then start calling them. Repeatedly. Call until the matter is resolved. Keep track of everything. All correspondence. Every person you talk to and the details of the conversation. If you can't resolve it then take them to small claims court.

Hate to say it but customer service responds best to squeaky wheels. Persistent, polite but still demanding squeaky wheels.
