I don't know if I'm as necessarily sad as I am resentful. Resentful that this person was someone I barely knew, and now I'm going to have to cough up several thousand dollars to settle his affairs because I know he wouldn't have wanted our mom to do it. When I never meant anything to him at all. He once told a friend that I was just like our mom. Which is the absolute worst insult he could have paid me.

My dream is to finish my book, and I'm going to do that. His death has nothing to do with it one way or another. I'm sorry if I seem annoyed, but you have assigned him a personality that is entirely too honorable for him. He was basically a selfish bastard. Thus, the essence of my post.
