...If you truly love an artist, his/her name is tattooed on yer brain, so you don't misspell it. If you spell Jimi Hendrix "Jimmie Hendrex," you're either taking the piss or you're not a die-hard fan. Having said that, Jimmy and Jimi are my two favorite guitarists, and Page himself would probably be the first to say that Hendrix was the best there ever was. BUT. Hendrix never put together a band like Led Zeppelin, and Page did. What Page got from Bonham, Jones and Plant was a gift from the gods, and if you've ever heard Page on recordings from the '73 European tour, you have heard the ULTIMATE in rock guitar playing, because that quartet, at that time, was on fire and will never be duplicated. Ever.
