great for every age. one of my favorites. also agree on Amelie. every female I know likes that movie (including me).
Cradle Will Rock is a nice take on the WPA.
Stop Making Sense because the Talking Heads have had a female member all along and she rocks.
Run Lola Run! (Lola Rennt) - another one of my favorites. a female lead.
Spirited Away and Princess Mononoke if she hasn't seen those.
