Three deranged orangutangs competing for the audience's attention -- moon, daltrey and townshend, held down by Entwistle's damn complicated bass playing.
And I LIKE the Who!!!
Townshend could play good melodic stuff -- but mostly he was whacking, not playing lead.
He really came into his own with his first two solo albums -- Empty Glass and the one after that with the black and white cover.
Empty Glass was quite excellent.
