We went to college in the area many moons ago and he has just moved back within the last few months. Don't know that he has many new friends or connections there currently. He and I are very committed to defeating the BFEE in Nov. He's not currently on DU but is very informed about things. I'm trying to convince him to sign up on DU as a good source of links and info as well as friends, because he's the type who emails links on political topics to folks.

I told him he should feel very lucky, weather nonwithstanding, to once again live in a place where people are actually liberal and openly against the shrub cartel, as well as overall educated and like to read and actually think about things. (Dallas TX where I am does not qualify on any of these counts, LOL)

Can I count on you to make him welcome if he shows? (BTW he doesn't drink and doesn't deal well with smoky bar environments, not familiar with People's Republik but I assumed it's a bar.)
