but I would take Ares to the vet and have the vet give you his/her advice.
If the cat is in pain and is coughing up blood I think that the best thing to do would be to have Ares put to sleep....
We had to do that with a dog so I know how hard this is....she had such horrible back problems that it was the only solution to how much pain she was in.
