The Best Place in the World for subs is Atlantic City's White House Sub Shop. But you have to know how to order, and you have to tip the guys even if it's take out.

At The White House, an Italian hoagie is known as a "regular" and they serve them dry unless you request mayo. If they get to know you and you are a regular tipper, they give you extra meat. If the sub is only for one person, you order a half, because a whole is a foot long, and subs don't keep well. If you do refrigerate a sub, cut about a half inch off the cut end (or wherever you stopped noshing), because that roll will break your teeth. The peppers are the best I've had ever, and they're diced fine.

Sheesh, you guys!
