11. I logged about 18 months working at Apple as a contractor. Apple can bite me.

I worked there during the Scully years. The first stretch was nice...great people, good environment, and I had an excellent opportunity to teach myself how to use a Mac while on the job.

Second stretch, not so nice. There had been a layoff, so people were bitter. Each time I returned it got progressively worse. The last time was one of the worst contract assignments of my career, and that's saying something.

Like anything else, it's the Cult of Personality. I found out, over time, that I did not have what it toook to be a member of that particular cult.
